《原来你也在这里》翻唱自日本歌手三田宽子1986年发行的歌曲《爱される花 爱されぬ花》 ，由姚谦负责作词，歌词源于张爱玲的小说《爱》 。姚谦不认可张爱玲看待爱情时那种残忍、冷漠和绝望的态度，他认为没有结果的爱情也是很温暖的。因此在创作该曲时，姚谦将该曲的歌词写成一种有温度的感觉。
该曲是电视剧《她从海上来》的主题曲，刘若英觉得这首歌对她有“化学作用”，尤其是刘若英在演完张爱玲这个角色后再来唱这首歌曲，能够彻底抒发压抑的情绪 。
