电影《叫我第一名》为美国新星演员詹姆斯·沃克毕业后第二年即担任主演、且获得首肯的一部经典励志佳作，尽管《叫我第一名》电影本身并无太多新意或让人感觉到惊喜，但是詹姆斯·沃克一次次面对失败不屈不挠的精神和真诚演绎很是深入人心，影片里面的对白从他的嘴里出来，依然可圈可点。
